Hi Vis flags are created with materials that result in a high contrast ratio when hit with a light source. Designed to show up brightly, and used for situational awareness. Designed to protect soldiers from friendly fire.

Camouflage is not compromised as the materials produce a low contrast ratio in the visible spectrum, and are thus not easily visible to the naked eye.
